OUR TEAM

Members of our core team

Geoscientist with more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of oil exploration and development, Simon has proven ability to integrate regional data, identify areas of interest and generate prospects. His experience also includes field development. During his career he has drilled numerous, successful wells. He has worked for operators and services companies assuming technical positions as well as technical leaderships roles. Giving his experience and trajectory, and considering the current market position he founded GGX Services LLC through which he has successfully completed two oil exploration and development projects.

Simon Oropeza

MS.c Geoscientist Owner and Founder.

Mr. Peter Bartok is an adjunct professor of geology at the University of Houston, instructor at Petroskills and a Petroleum E&P Consultant with research interests in unconventional shale resources, complex salt tectonics, rock physics and rock mechanics. He has worked for large oil companies, At BP he was the Latin America project manager and at Texaco chief offshore USA. He has evaluated prospects in over 40 basins of the world (North America, Latin America, Europe, China and West Africa) and defined the exploration techniques leading to major discoveries in Venezuela, Angola and Guatemala

Peter Bartok

Petroleum Geoscientist

Geophysicist specializing in seismic interpretation and basin scale tectonic analysis. Holds PhD from Princeton University and has over 30 years experience in exploration consulting and leading geophysical studies, primarily in North Andean and Caribbean basins. Over 80 publications cover seismic structural interpretation in foreland basins, petroleum geology, and potential field methods. The work, including 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, multi-attribute analysis for fault and fracture detection, and structural control on the evolution of petroleum systems, has led to better understanding of onshore and offshore plays in fold belts. Former students hold leading positions in petroleum exploration and academic research.

Dr. Jim Kellogg

Seismic interpretation and basin scale tectonics.

1st Class Honors Geology, Trinity College, Dublin; PhD Sedimentology, Imperial College of Science, & Technology, London, U.K. Conceptual depositional modeler detailing and predicting surface and subsurface geometries, composition, and textural character of carbonate, evaporite and silici-clastic sedimentary rocks on a local and regional scale for hydrocarbon exploration and reservoir sedimentology and petrology, and civil engineering projects involving high-resolution sequence stratigraphy, facies, petrophysics, and the physical and stratigraphic controls on carbonates, evaporites and clastic systems. Develops computerized sequence stratigraphic simulations of carbonate and clastic systems as they relate to eustatic, tectonic and sedimentation controls.

Dr Christopher Kendall

Sedimentary stratigrapher

Adrien is a high-achiever executive in the Upstream and technology industry, with extensive global sales experience, and a proven track record of building and motivating high-impact solutions team, and delivering value to all shareholders. He is acting as Technical Sales director for Emerson Automation Solutions North America and provide advices to GGX Services LLC as advisory board member. Besides being fluent in English, Spanish and French- and Python!. Adrian is an MBA from Rice University and MSc. Geological Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Geologie. In 2016 he co-founded Datadisk, a data science and consulting company, specialized in advanced analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence applied to Page 3 of 8 the Fintech industry. Datadistik operates under a MASTER RESELLER PARTNER of Dataiku (www.dataiku.com) for Latin America.

Adrien Caudron

Business Innovation

Linda has had an extensive career in oil exploration and development as a geoscientist. She has worked for many small to mid-sized independent oil companies. She has experience in several areas including the Gulf of Mexico, onshore South Louisiana, and offshore west Africa (Gabon and Equatorial Guinea). She is particularly adept in interpreting complex structures and integrating diverse data sets to achieve a logical geologic model. She has monitored seismic acquisition and processing projects, mentored new geoscientists, and interacted with engineers and drilling personnel. She holds a BS degree in Geology from the Louisiana State University.

Linda Sumrall

Petroleum Geoscientist

Geoscientist with over 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry He has specialized in stochastic and 3D modeling. His broad experience has allowed him to post part of his work and approach on professional media. He is experienced in numerical reservoir simulation which has allowed him to be part of several oil companies with high success. His experience and highly technical skills have allowed him teaching successfully online classes on reservoir modeling and reservoir building. reaching a high number of professionals from different countries.

Ivan Urdaneta

Petroleum Engineer

He holds a PhD and an MSc in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin where he dedicated his research to statistical applications for the characterization of natural geological objects. His contributions to natural fracture systems are acknowledged by industry and academia (+600 citations in Google Scholar and ResearchGate). He worked for Shell for over 23 years as Exploration and Structural Geologist Specialist, providing specialized support for Onshore and Offshore plays and prospects. He has worked in a variety of geological settings in many countries, both onshore and offshore, in conventionals and unconventionals, at regional and local scales. He has experience in Shale Oil and Shale Gas, Tight Gas Sandstones, Sub-basalt Exploration and Subsalt Exploration in Brazil and Mexico. He has worked on the characterization of Fractured and Karst Reservoirs, Fault Compartmentalization and Sealing, Regional Pore Pressure Prediction and Environmental issues for Oil Sands Operations. He also teaches graduate courses at Universidad Central de Venezuela and has great interest in the application of Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence to geoscientific problems.
